Made this trolley for moving wads of straw about. I don't know how I'd cope without it now.

defintly like the trolly, simple , cheap n makes life easier

Thanks MP. I designed it for quadrants and it will comfortably carry 1/5 or 1/6 of an 8 foot bale. The wheels go either side of the bale so it pivots back easily. It's a much nicer job now especially when the wads are very thin and the straw is short.

View attachment 32586Bull beef hopper made out of scrap and an old kero tank (yes I know the pics on its side I'm on my iPhone and couldn't get it to load properly ) cost bout 30 quid for welding rods grinding discs and a tin of red oxide. Tis about the only cost bulls will stand at the moment:shifty:
Could you take some more pics to show how you've done the trough and how it feeds down to it?

Side on again unfortunately. In the first pic there is a piece of inch ply with wooden bracing behind to guide the barley . And a piece of angle iron at the top and bottom to keep it in place. The second picture shows the trough I think the gap at the bottom of the plate may be too wide but if it is i will bolt a strip of tin on. Time will tell. The front needs a strip of plate in to stop barley getting stuck in the 90 degree angle at the base of the trough. But to be honest I just stirr it up with a stick on a morning anyhow. Hope this helps
