On my grandfather's farm they had a pitchfork made by a blacksmith that was proof against a farm worker who broke all hand tools. I could hardly lift it. It looked like Hagrids toy.

Yeah, I've been meaning to crop them off for a couple of years now. They can be a bit snaggy. We put a couple of foam packing noodles over the ends for laugh but they didn't survive long.

Last pic sparked a question on me. I’ve a 30ft wide portal 8*4 framed shed would 500kg fertiliser bag be too much to hang from rafter obviosly as near upright as possible?

Has anyone got a quick bodge for filling half ton seed bags?i was thinking an auger,bit slow I thought,then thought about a Ibc with the bottom cut out and use the top to fill the bag?anyone any other ideas?

I cut a hole in my grain bucket and made a sliding hatch then put some tabs underneath to hook the big bag on, I used to put the bags on my old forklift but it's died. On day i will get around to putting a hydraulic ram on the hatch.

Last time I used our free standing grain cleaner I had to strap it to a tractor to stop it moving across the yard. So I'm amazed it stayed on those bails.
