Quick Fluke Survey

Hello!

I am currenty doing a survey as part of my veterinary bioscience dissertation for my degree. It is looking at the distribution of flukes within livestock and farm management techniques. Results will hopefully be used in a written paper to look at alternative ways to prevent flukes, especially as the resistance to current fluke treatments are on the rise. If you could spare a few minutes of your time to answer this survey I would be ever so grateful.

It takes approximately three minutes to complete and all answers are anonymous.

Thank you

With over 95 fields only a small proportion of my land is described in question 2, we have 7 open ditches in the fields, 3 reservoirs, 6-7 ponds, a 50-60acre boggy Land, 30-40acre wet land and 3 mile of cliffs, which box should i tick?

Yes we have a small problem as the slaughter house is picking fluke up in 4-5% of lambs. Ewes are fluked in the autumn, no resistance of any wormers here.

Done, couldn’t decide if my farm was wet, boggy by a pond or by rivers and ditches.
Went for wet in the end but I could have ticked all four if you count a lake as a pond

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
