Ha ha ties into the why can I find things on google thread. I dont have specifics to hand but have one on a jd 2650.will lift around 2t I guess. And will reach 3 layers of rounds onto a trailer

Hmm if it lifts that i will be impressed. My headstock has a lot of wear on the pin holes, have you had to do anything with yours? I'm looking at best way to sort it. Was thinking cut the holes round and weld in a boss.

Maybe 2 ton is to big an estimate. Will pick tractor up if it's to heavy

Had , 540 & 560 loaders in the past, I sure 560 35cwt lift, & more height & reach than 540.
Went back to the smaller 540, as we didn't need rear weight on tractor to move silage bales, where we did 560.

now if anyone has a euro 8 headstock that will fit directly onto it, that would then enable me to use it, my welding mate decided to ignore what I told him to do, and literally welded a euro headstock onto the front of the existing quicke headstock, so now its about 40cm in front the pivot pins not sure i trust his reinforcing ideas either, not to mention that its now bloody heavy ...

If you’re orignial headstock was the no3 type then it would of been much easier and tidier to weld on 2 lengths of 40mm bar and adapt the locking pins. Seeing as you seem only want to lift no8 implements the adaption is fairly straightforward. Converting them to combi is a bit more challenging.
