Quorn

Ok so I just watched a clip of I’m a celebrity revealing that mo farrow is not a vegetarian / vegan / wolfing down chicken - as suggested in the quorn advert that was ran last year.. seems odd having a super athlete adverting your product and then him not being a veggie on the down low. I guess I eat veg so each to there own but there’s abit if sly mixed messaging in that ad?

Remember a sketch by the great Kenny Everett where he was dressed as The Queen using all of the stuff that was by royal appointment. Fag in mouth, shoveling sand into a concrete mixer something like that.
Point being it means naff all, you don't have to use something to endorse it, it's all about the money. If folks swallow it then it just proves the value of advertising your product with celebrity endorsement. We should try it.

no i ment we should try using the power of famous faces, imagine seeing an add with ed sheran tucking into a bacon roll or ant n deck having a roast dinner. 76 massy- funny u say that we stayed at a youth hostel in Quoin back in the day :)

Ed Milliband did a bit of bacon roll promotion back in the day.

Did Mo Farah ever claim to be vegetarian or vegan? I can't find any evidence that he did. The advertising campaign he took part in was promoting the use of Quorn in high protein diets for athletes. Also, his association with Quorn appears to have ended in early 2017, almost 4 years ago. Hardly "last year".

Still, when have the facts ever got in the way of a TFF witch hunt, especially one with vegans, vegetarians AND Quorn as part of the plot line. It's like a grumpy livestock farmers wet dream. 😂

As an aside- Why did they name the original veggie fake meat after one of the country’s most famous fox hunts?

Seems a strange name to choose!
the name was chosen because the chemist who invented it lived in quorn at the time ,i live only a mile from the north yorkshire factory the reason its were it is was because the financial backers wanted it in production fast (believe to be imperial tobacco / kellogs)so to save long drawn out planning rangle set up in the old eastwood chicken place that had food production standards (re buxted chubby chunky chicken ) the raw product is grown in a old ici factory at billingham on teesside called pruteen it is a type of fungus once tried it never again
