Long handled Ergo ratchet with 600mm tail and standard claw fitting 5t
10m 5t strap with standard claw fitting

£9 per set and £15 carriage from Strap master last year. Perfect length for square bales, so will be ok for rounds if they’re 4ft stacked like bean cans.

10m strap over 3 high bales, it's a good foot too short:(. These are 4ft6 diameter but not many bales are only 4ft exactly.

Bit late to the party on this one in more ways than one but guessing 8m long ones are the length to go for if only going 2 round bales high on their ends?
Finally making move from ropes so thinking best to double check before ordering up:)

Personally I’d go for 10m. Not all bales are equal and sometimes they need pulling together. Assuming they’re perfect you need 7.2m plus hooking them on (20cm each side?) so 7.8m which doesn’t give much slack.
