RE: Metal Detecting - Permissions wanted PLEASE READ THE THREAD :)

Hi all!

I'm hoping that someone may be able to assist.

I am looking for permission to metal detect on land in Kent/ Essex/ Sussex/ Hertfordshire.

I have been metal detecting since I was 5 years old, and have a great passion for the hobby, what has been stalling it is not being able to find some land that I can legally search on with an owner permission.

A few noteworthy points

- I am a member of the National Council of Metal Detecting which is recognised by the National Farmers Union.
- I am fully insured with third party civil liability insurance
- I fully understand the law on reporting items that may be considered as treasure
- I never detect amongst growing crops
- Any holes dug are very small and well filled again
- I respect the countryside code
- I will sign a contract with landowner for any find that are of significant value to be split evenly.

If you can assist, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further.

I can promise any landowner, it would not be a bother to them at all, and you never know what your land can hold!

Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.

Damian
