Rear rim/tyre size compatibility

Anybody know if 16.9/14x28 tyres can be used on 13''x28'' rims? Cannot get 8 lug,14'' rims for a MF 165 anywhere but new 13'' are available. On 50B rims at the minute but they are set out too wide and are solid centres so can't adjust.

14.9R28 on a 13" would be a common size for a 165.

16.9 will fit on 13" rims but they are often fitted on 15" instead of 14" as was the case with the 16.9R38s on my Deere

14" rims are very uncommon these days.

Thanks C.J. This one came with 16.9s from new afaik. Still cheaper to buy new 13"rims to suit the nearly new tyres I have, than try and find 30 or 32'' rims and then new tyres for them as well!!

Thanks Will, I'll bear that in mind in case the 13s aren't available after all, even though they are listed to be. Mind you, postage and couriers could be an issue the way things are with me being in NI.....!
