Reco RC52 round baler

I’ve chance of a well looked after Reco RC52 round baler. It’s sub £2k, net wrap & sold as all working. I know it’s old but is it worth a go for doing around 150/200 hay/haylage bales per year? I’ve lots of small fields that are spread out. Means being anywhere near the top of contractor priority is impossible. I sell a lot to horse customers so being able to go when I want to ensure quality appeals. Im mechanically minded & used to running old gear! Locally welger or now mchale are the favourites so I’ve no one to quiz for experience whether a RC52 is good or not. Has anyone any opinions on these balers? Or should I run away?!

Run rabbit run.

Neighbour had one around 93-94 and it was a heartbreaker.
If it’s lasted this long it’s maybe the one good one they made.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
