Herbal ley 3rd cut. Took 304 4ft6' 120 x 90 bales off 39 acres. Not weighed any yet but would guess they will be 600-700kg in weight. This year the stuff just hasn't stopped growing. No artifical N just plenty of FYM in the autumn to help replenish P & K's. Made a maize clamp out of them as good solid bales.
Clover leys leach a lot more nitrate than ryegrass leys, all natural.
I grow lucerne and RC and I was slightly concerned about wilting the 4th cut RC and 3rd cut lucerne taken last week. The lucerne was a piece of cake but the RC did not want to wilt. Trying to find a 3 day window never mind a 4 day window can be difficult.
Given the dry hot spells we tend to get at the moment, these legumes are going to become very widespread as they power through a bit of hot and dry.
