Can you link 2 trading names to one ACCS number? I know lots of farm businesses have 2 names so how have others done it? There is no owner/contractor set up as all work is done by the same people with the same machinery. Supposedly its to stop fraudulent supply of goods ie neighbours using others Assurance number but it seems like a way to extract more money/make everything more complicated.

you pay them some extra protection racket cash and they will link another business

nothing extra gets done for this cash. no second inspection etc - it’s just bonus money for their christmas party !

I know for livestock Red Tractor is done on holding numbers, how do they track "holdings/businesses" for arable?

they have talked grain merchants into only paying cheques to bank accounts with membership - so a contract farm business operating a separate account now needs its own membership dedpite it being farmed by a already assured contractor

its just extra money for them - nothing more, not in interest of farmer, contractor or consumers.......... remind me who they work for again ?

if we were French surely we would be dragging these people to the guillotine !!!

This is the problem but no formal agreement exists, one business is not contracting for the other, as you say its BS.

maybe NFU members should bring this up with their representatives ? NFU remain in ownership of a large % and ex NFU officers hold positions of power on the board (what a coincidence!)
