The email says that the organisations that represent us will respond to the review on our behalf ?

assuming they refer to the NFU here who only represent SOME of us this must be a bad joke considering the NFU part ownership and cronyism filled board of rx NFU office holders

How disconnected can Jim Mosley be from actual farmers ? and did he actually claim in that email to be the saviour of British Agriculture?

Really Jim ? !!

Have you ever met Jim @Clive ?
He’s as far removed from being a farmers man as you will ever get.

A useful survey would be to ask British consumers:

''When you do your food shop, what factors do you take into consideration?''

I would expect those who bothered to reply to give answers like ''quality'', value for money'', home-produced rather than imported''. Some might mention ''high welfare'' for meat products.

But I would be very surprised if more than a tiny percentage mentioned ''Farm Assurance or Red tractor.

I’d be even more surprised if those people when the actually go shopping give any of those factors a second of thought, let alone acting on them to make a related purchase.

The answer is, and I'm not sure how it can be done, but do away with red tractor and AHDB and have a new British Produce Marketing Board which did the job of both for the cost of the levies.
We need it to be purely representing producers.
There is too much conflict of interest when they are run by the cartel which buy our produce.

i never got a clear answer on if it was illegal for a mill to impose different standards to suppliers providing the same product - ie use imported un assured and then insist on uk assured

if it was then all grain producers could leave Red Tractor protection racket tomorrow without the consequences we all fear that hold us to ransom

its a question someone smart and well funded should put to competition commission and trading standards maybe ?

"with the UK aiming to be Net Zero by 2050, the challenges facing producers are unprecedented. With this in mind, being able to account for how you operate your business will become more important than ever."

Translates to;

British farms total millions of acres. We will be working hard to steal their carbon capture values and give them to supermarkets while giving you reams of extra paperwork for no benefit.

I received said email, and have had run in with them in the past. I just replied that Baroness whatever her name obviously thought so much of the scheme that she voted against import standards in the House.
I cannot see the point of re-newing my membership, am utterly fed up with them, they offer nothing. NSF are an utter shitshow to deal with and quite frankly have had enough.

When you read this my business exists despite you NOT because of you
His business exists because of us. Where all sick of it and unless things improve I think the plug will be pulled and his business will be down the drain.
