Removing the rotor of a Claas 780

I have recently bought a claas 780 rake and i want to check her over now rather than it playing about on me during summer.

There is a bit of a noise on one rotor which i want to check out the most, what is the best or easier way to take a rotor off these rakes or is it better to dismantle the rotor when it is on the rake. My workshop is a bit low for putting the rake into however if i was fit to take the rotor off it would be alot easier handled.

Also does anybody know of any claas 780 rakes for breaking incase i need any parts?

All help appreciated.

best done when down flat , first tap out the rollpin on the wheel adjuster its the little silver wheel with all the holes in it on top of the rotor ,then open the grooved nut , lift the hyd slightly with the tractor ,the rotor should come away from the arm it might need a bit of help from a sledge , now you will see the crown wheel and pinion

no the crown wheel stays with the top plate you have to open all the outer dish bolts that hold the two dishes together and open the inner bolts as well nearest to the centre ,do not open the inner bolts on the bottom as these keep the arms in place

yea its not a nice job did all the tine bars fall out on ya
naw when taking the rotor apart i had to flip it upside down but i kept in the holts by luck that holds the tine bars on one side. the biggest job i found was getting the cam lined up to the the shaft of the bottom side will go through it all. was dark last night when i had the rotor together again i will hopefully get the rotor on the rake again some of these next evenings.
