Tidy looking th62 for 12k?

Apart from all the common little cracks in the boom, thats had some weld splattered over them, and no legal road lights on the front or rear either.

Also hard to say for sure but at a guess i would say thats got the smaller planet gears in the hubs that like to crack in half, normally destroying the wheel hub in the process.

My first check on any cat TH62 purchase would be what wheel hub gears its got in it. The tell tale sign from the outside is the dia of the 3 pin heads that hold the gears in the hub. Small head = smaller weaker gears. You can not mix and match the hubs either as the larger gears are a different ratio to the smaller ones.

Don't mean to be a snob but well kinda do 😂 but why is the budget so low?
Surely if it's doing work it's work worth doing?
25k budget would comfortably get you very good manitou take a loan for 5 years and then sell it at the end of the loan and probably get your money back.
If your putting decent hours on any machine it should be justified surely?
And if it doesn't maybe not worth doing the work?

what’s this worth 93 l 8100 hrs no faults leaks or owt , maybe for sale , as a chap who is packing up offered us his o3 541/70

Know all about weak hub gears on the zf 325 axle on the Ford 7610.

Would I be right in saying a manitou 2600 is an mlt 626?

Yes, 2600 is not the model number, a common mistake to make. so common its actually normal so most people still know exactly what machine your talking about as it was the only one with 2600 writen on the cab door! it really means 2600kgs max lift.

MLT 626 is the correct model but then there are series 1, 2 and 3 versions of it.

As @ACEngineering will tell you, most of the parts can be sourced as Manitou. The NEF engine is different and possibly some of the ancillary equipment. Ace pointed me in the direction of one of these as being about the newest version of that era of Manitou that could be found. Unfortunately I bought somewhat blind and the front axle swivel bushes needed work but generally it has been quite a good machine, albeit dated compared to the comfort of later machines. Ours has got boom suspension (a pain to engage) and aircon but a manual joystick.

The older yellow version of yours has the fiat 8045 engine in it but otherwise much the same.

are you able to share any details on its problems, they can be bought on the SH market a bit cheaper than the competitors
Goes through sensors like there’s no tomorrow speed sensors and boom suspension, unfortunately when the speed sensor goes it won’t drive, and always seems to be in the wrong gear! between Christmas and New Year. The boom pads came off and it ripped all the pipes off inside the boom! For a machine with only 1900 hrs on the reliability is awful!
