The crazy low rates have allowed prices to get crazy high.
I was talking to someone earlier and we both said the same, would think RFS like many ag dealers have a fair auld over hurricane and anything that lowers it be a good thing.

I don't think it has. 4% is optimal 2% to cover inflation and 2% profit.
Your now looking at 8% and you can already things starting to wobble.
You have to remember that, that money used to pay it off has in many cases already been corroded by income tax.
And don't bother trying to quote that it was 15% back in your day cause the economy is a total different kettle of fish these days.

They are aiming of having a annual sale now, sounds like building a whole new depot at Darrington and need a few million to do it and have too much used machinery on the books and need to shift some.

I had a call from a Ripon number this morning wasn’t going to answer then thought what the hell . It was RFS asking if I was thinking of buying anything and was I still in Agriculture etc . I haven’t used them for years on any bought anything big recently and though they were calling to say they were closing my account. I use Stockton depo used to be Claytons. Then asked if I knew who my rep was - no I don’t- would you like him/her
to contact me- no thanks but thanks . I did buy a Combine off them 7-8 years ago and received great service from them and a chap called Nigel was fantastic with helping us .

The two lots I bought weren’t in a retailable condition. As were lots Of other bits I walked past. They just looked like straight trade ins.
One lot even had the remnants of a York lot number sticker on so they obviously tried it there but didn’t sell.

Yes bough the mower got it home and all seems to work ok so I think I got a good machine. I will find out in a month or so
