I think you had to pull the spool valve to set the net going on a 44

Don’t panick Ethel , Dig yours out of the nettle shed and will have it pulled apart
Found loads of spares yesterday for r p.
Gearboxes rollers. All sorts.

Well got it going tonight rebaled 5 ,
it set off on its own before pressure up ,and then wont cut net ,it does trip so will have to have knive out and look at that

If it's like a 46, there's a thing that looks like a ram that pulls the knife. There's a spring inside it and it needs to be intact and free moving for net cutting

Thats all working , it resets ready , will havebto look at knive in ,netter ,
it all works ,ok just need to get it set up , not been used for a bit

It will reset with the spring broken or sticking but doesn't drive the knife into the net. Knife doesn't need to be razor sharp especially with the net brake set right

Net brake is just a flap,what drops ower net roll with 2 springs hoddin it down ,
will have another lake with it tomorow night

what size bale does it make?

4 ft round
be good horse hay baler ,with middles not tight rolled ,will breath a bitb

powder puffs y'mean...more bales/buck .....not many 4ft belt balers made....jd 450/454....guess 4ft balers were for silage really
