I would say a week isn't long enough to attribute anything to the buckets. Perhaps needed buckets/supplementation earlier?
Unless there's been a serious drop in feed available, condition loss showing now is as a result of earlier conditions over a longer period than a week.

Agree. It usually takes ten days to a fortnight of feeding to see a difference...
If the ewes are taking the silage those buckets should be enough.

Only other thing would be to maybe pour molasses on the silage?... I did that in those 2 very cold winters around 2010 - about 10l just ontop of the bale, then another 10l once half the bale has been eaten. I think it worked OK, it certainly increased silage intakes.

The date is only relevant to the vitamins. The block itself will last for years.

What ever the date says, put the tubs well under shade, do not leave in the summer sun on a hot day stacked up.......I did once, some 80kg ones......was not pretty!
