I would say a week isn't long enough to attribute anything to the buckets. Perhaps needed buckets/supplementation earlier?
Unless there's been a serious drop in feed available, condition loss showing now is as a result of earlier conditions over a longer period than a week.

Agree. It usually takes ten days to a fortnight of feeding to see a difference...
If the ewes are taking the silage those buckets should be enough.

Only other thing would be to maybe pour molasses on the silage?... I did that in those 2 very cold winters around 2010 - about 10l just ontop of the bale, then another 10l once half the bale has been eaten. I think it worked OK, it certainly increased silage intakes.
