Russia&china v the world.

Which is why they will always be friends with knife behind their backs. Russia does not trust China!

Russia needs China and China needs Russia.

Neither wants to be in a position of needing the USA and both cannot trust the USA.

It's pretty obvious that if they got together they could out perfrom the USA over time. It's also in their interests to do so - if they join economically the rest will follow.

The USA is eating itself.

I do think the West somehow has been inflitrated with Communist ideology. Especially on regulation of Climate Policy. Energy is a basic commodity which underpins all jobs - this is not going to end well. I think energy has gone up now by 300% or more at the point of production over the past decade or so.

That stopped a long time ago, it simply wasn't / isn't economically viable to provide a credible conventional deterrent; the 'rumour' is that the Kremlin decided a scorched earth policy via small nuclear strikes was the best option - which makes sense on a lot of grounds.

Hang on... are we talking of the same President Obama who had congressional majorities, and who used them to legislate for the allowing of outsourcing of federal spending to foreign companies - is this the same fellow you are on about? The same fellow, as it happens, who 'negotiated' for tariff control with China, that was vastly to its - China's - favour and against that of the US - or was that a different President Obama?

And, while on the subject, are we talking about the same fellow who fearlessly did SFA while China started pushing it's neighbours and building fake islands? Just asking.

Hold on a minute, what is wrong with federal spending being directed toward foreign companies, exactly? Again, this is a commercial decision and the people deciding to spend that money overseas probably had logical reasons to do so?

I don't know what action President Obama took on tariffs, I know he called for the WTO to consider a case against China because of their rare Earth market control.

As of 2021 there are only five communist countries in the world. China, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba and North Korea none of which are pushing a green agenda. That's the prerogative of the Conservative party in the UK. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

The UK is hardly on A green agenda.
Fake green maybe but not real green, green as long as it don't hurt the money, about as green as a pound note

It's definately hurting sections of the UK economy - especially manual workers, manufacturers and those dealing in basic commodities.

Certain areas controlled by Ministers have never had it so good.

OK a socialist agenda with the redistribution of wealth ..... from the poor to the rich.

Only certain people, I wouldn't castigate all rich people.

This is really about those in power being in power for themselves and screw everyone else - I'd also lump in the senior civil service & authorities in the same group - senior management - plebs excluded.

Communism by dictat. Someone was telling me that the land under hospitals is being sold ATM.

I wonder if it will escalate any further, Russia doesn't want Ukraine in NATO, right on their doorstep. They have their Warm water port after the annex of Crimea in 2014. I think a strong armed reminder to America and the rest of NATO to keep their distance is what we are seeing.

I didn't write that there was anything necessarily 'wrong' with it, I merely pointed it out because you wrote that a US president has '...minimal control over private enterprise...'.

I bet the CCP absolutely sh!t itself when he went to the WTO... :ROFLMAO:
