"Re-growth" as you put it is the same as any cereal stubble after wholecropping, ie volunteers.Would the re-growth be enough to graze?

It gets worse because there's ryegrass, hybrid rye, forage rye and then cereal rye!I think there’s some confusion about rye grass and hybrid rye, which is a cereal like wheat or barley .

our hybrid rye, with vetch, came off at 15 t/ac, contractors figure, not ours, and followed with an 18 ton maize crop. Only problem, maize took longer to ripen, so couldn't repeat, w wheat instead, but fully intend to do similar againWhat's that? Looks a huge crop!
