Off topic but does anyone know if the later 726 suffered from fraying ram seals clogging the suction filter or had they updated to better materials?

A later 726 with perkins engine originally had better ram seals. Done away with the fibre reinforced ones although not to say one ones been in there and changed them!

If its a 726 with danfoss spool block and your having pressure and flow issues then the inlet section is very prone to causing this.

Had a go with this. Nice machine. Are they better or worse on big wheels as this has the smaller earlier type.

No idea. Dont know that it makes a lot of difference with them? Think they had different diff ratios on some?

Sure a customer of mine used to have one of each and road travel speed was much the same?

Thanks. This one has only done 3500 hours and drives spot on. Only thing I noticed that was wrong was a reluctance if you like to tip the carriage, other hyd functions were quick, tipping a bit slow.

That could be 1 of 2 things.
Most likely lock out valve on tilt ram faulty.
Or and its quite rare but if you took the danfoss tilt solenoid off the spool block there is a tiny gauze filter about 5mm round for the pilot oil supply to solenoid which might be partly blocked but i only ever had this problem once in over 15 years.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
