Hi guys,

I have Sanderson TSC 726 with 4 gear manual fwd rwd shuttle. When turned on I can't get into gear and when I turn it on in gear it is reversing straight away.

I have disconnected solenoids and it's same stuck in reverse.

Dump pedal not having impact on reversing, not stopping it from driving, not sure if should.

Do you have any ideas, please?

Thanks

Transmission rebuild.

Clutch pack friction material has delaminated and rolled over on its self causing drag on the pack, almost certainly cause there's some water in the box through knackered gearstick gaiter.

That or you burnt clutch plates out bad and they warped and dragging.

Either way it's a transmission out and overhaul.

Well not the answer I wanted, but I think you're right. As you said gaiter is damaged and yes must have been some water in the oil as there is milkshake ish color.

Thank you for help, was thinking maybe stuck solenoid valve, but checked that. Thank again

Linings were stuck to the metal backings with a water based glue - any moisture in the trans and they start to come off. Fairly well known thing.

Oil to water transmission cooler failed on out tl6 doing the same, milkshake and cooked clutch. Why anyone thinks oil to water coolers are a good thing is beyond me

Yes thats a thing on the crappy TL6 and 7 but its also a JCB cooler so nothing unusual.

The ops machine in question though is 726 which is air to oil cooler so the only way to get water in it is the gear stick gaiter or if you pour it in the filler.

Do you know maybe where I could get friction discs for this one please?

if your in UK then i can supply an overhaul kit. you will need more than just friction discs, all the seals need to be done and i would fit a new pump too. you need to be doing a FULL overhaul of the gearbox its too much effort to take the box out and strip it without doing it all.
