Hi I have a Sanderson plantman 2 1988
How do I check oil level on the shuttle box please. Thanks

From what I remember of a local machine if it leaks it’s got oil in it, if it doesn’t leak it’s because it’s empty!

Is it this shape ? If so, there are two bolts at the back of the cab to remove, then tilt the cab forward to access gearbox and torque converter dipsticks. If it’s the later shape, I can’t imagine they were much different.

I have a Plantman 2 264 1989. Truckmasters at Skegness told me to fill up the spout on the side with ATF until its full, there is no sight glass or dipstick. I only knew it was low because it was sluggish pulling away.

It's a spicer Turner box. With engine running fill till its level with top of spout.

Sticks out the side of the box at the bottom. Probably got a bsp plug in it, 1" socket or spanner required. I think it will be on the right hand side if its same as the telehandlers.

That's an old plantman based on ford skid unit. Plantman 2 is a perky engine and Turner gearbox

Put 5 litres of oil in and still not full. Goes better now.
