Scrap dealer/ asbestos removal

Anyone know this firm, allegedly from Newcastle but supposed to be setting up a yard in SW Scotland. Been pestering me for an old scrap feed wagon and offering to take down an old grain tower at sensible money. More interestingly he has offered to dispose of old asbestos roofing sheets we are currently taking off a shed being reclad. Assures me all paperwork provided but I’m obviously suspicious.

Probably in the form of court summons when they trace what he fly tips back to you

My son bought an old Bungalow, a few years ago with an asbestos roof made to look like slate.Nobody would touch it previously as they thought the costs of disposal would be high.He rang the Council who said if you double bag the slates then the local tip would take it FOC.
He bought the correct dust masks and set to work taking all the slates to the tip 5 Miles away. All it cost was his time and a little labour from the builder doing the house up.

Heard that it can be used as hardcore on roads provided blinded by a layer of scalpings. Any truth in this?

Yes,pretty much.Bagged up put put in his pickup.He had to get a pass for his pickup to show he wasn't in the business of doing it professionally.

Everything contained Asbestos.
With all these renovation, DIY, moving, auction shows etc on tv and first thing they all do?
Start knocking the place about with no ppe or proper fitted mask on, they then take mask off and wipe face with their work gloves on????
Ticking time bomb.
