Anyone able to give me a rough idea of what light scrap might be worth down here (Devon / Somerset borderlands).
Might make more as a compost tea brewer or part of a micro brewery?Any ideas of value on a DX bulk tank approx 500 gallons?

they are see u next tuesdays!Got ripped off in the summer last year, had a 10t skip dropped in by Glazewing, filled it over a couple pf weeks and was collected, its taken a lot of emails and phone calls to finally get a cheque out of them 10 months later, weighed in at 7.5t, rate quoted of £100/t but they keep the first 2t, fair enough, as they had to deliver and fetch it, but the invoice was taking the p, paid out at £35/t and deducted £267 for 2 fridges and 2 tyres that were definitely NOT on the skip, so out of a potential £550 after the 2t charge I got a cheque for £137 and refuse to budge on the deductions
Won't going there again ( and its happened to another farmer locally I've since discovered, same tyre and fridge deduction )
only offering £550 up hereBatteries £950 ton last Friday
450 here ,,,, £150 for normal scraponly offering £550 up here
best to run over weigh bridge enroute if possible, not good thinking you may have been hadGlazewing and Goldstar alike, bunch of crooks,
Had an Artic bulker to take some long steel trusses, from Goldstar.
Pay Ticket was way down on my estimations, challenged it, to no avail, was told to off !!!
On checking ticket, weighing in time was before the collection time, !!!!!
Someone was fiddling paperwork,
Use EMR every time, on account.
Oldest trick in book. No control over it. Local railway contractor escorts scrap lorry to public weigh bridge before sending them on there way. He's pulled all the tricks himself. If they don't like it he sells to someone else. Also sad your can’t trust anyone, now days,
