You can’t beat taking your own in
unfortunately it's one of the joys of being 130miles from civilisation. we used to send a headed paper and copy of driving licence when Christie's down by the Clyde was there, and the lorry man dropped the cheque in on his way home on Friday night. sadly they don't exist anymore....

What is the best way to present old copper pipe 15/22mm and copper wire, does it need to be clean and shiny? presume they do not like copper cable that has been in a fire to get rid of the outer plastic. What about old brass kitchen taps, plastic knobs ect taken off and rubber gizards removed or just all chuked in a bag?

And just like that, its back up to £175 a tonne today.
So I decided to weigh in my 19.5T today, its only been here 12 years waiting for it to be well worth the trip, in fairness to the yard they took good care of me price wise with that amount and I must say im well happy with the price they gave me for it, but on the flip side id buy quite a bit of steel off them too, they keep the regulars happy which is nice.
