Dont see the problem myself , its governments that start and fight wars not civilians, no need for us to make the ordinary russian civilian suffer they have sufferd enough over the years .
Oh and you think its OK for the Ukraine civilians in there situation you think 🤔
This export should not go ahead,
Yes Russians have suffered for years, but pressure needs to be put on them to create civil unrest to get changes, not feeding them

Pepsi don’t sell spuds, they sell value added junk food. In the UK they produce Walkers crisps, in the rest of the world they sell them branded as Leys. Doubt the Russians will starve to death for want of a packet of prawn cocktail.
The Ukrainian population had the strength of mind to overthrow a puppet government in 2014. If the Russians want to sacrifice 3000 of their kids a week in support of a genocidal dictator, then frankly, f**k ‘em.

Cannot believe 600 tons of Scotch seed are set to be exported direct to Russia.
Scottish government apparently have approved it…
Total Value said to be £660k….
Firstly have the vendors got no conscience…secondly Scottish Gov could easily have found £600k to buy them and send for animal feed…
Shamefull!
Ahh taking money from the Russians rather than giving it to them like the eu, good plan

No quite
But it wasn't the Russian civilians that done that, it wad Putin's army
Yep but it should be remembered the best way to tackle an invasive weed is to destroy the roots.
600 tons of missing seed potatoes will not achieve this …but it will cause questions to be asked and doubts to be raised about the despotic regime that runs their lives and is currently carrying out Mass Murder in Ukraine.
Too easy to imagine some poor Russian Farmer being punished by the none arrival of seed potatoes…..most unlikely…much more likely the potatoes are heading into a huge joint setup between Pepsi and The Russian Government / The Kremlin / Putin / The Russian Mafia …take your pick they are all intertwined.
Until the Guy on the tractor asks why there are no Seed Potatoes to plant, nothing will change.

Looks like they're a cooperative of 16 growers throughout Scotland. It would be interesting to find out who they are.

Does anyone know which varieties PepsiCo / Walkers specify for crisp production?

judging by the news here that Russian men of fighting age are skipping the country to avoid conscription and interviews with a bunch of Russian soldiers that were wanting no part in the war it’s seems that as usual the top military and leaders are the problem. Selling spuds is it isn’t going to break Putin buy it’s another dent in his already beat up image. More pressure to the likes of India should be imposed fir buying oil from there at 20% discount as I read last night. Supporter of putin should be privy to the same sanctions and not be back stabbing countries trying to keep peace in the world. Biden seems very concerned about China supporting the Russians but India is no different. Sanctions won’t stop Putin and unless someone inside deals with him he’s not going to stop.
