Just wondering if there's any further information out yet as to what constitutes no till in the eyes of SFI?
Is it a dts/mzuri/claydon direct into stubble?
Or is it going to be lower disturbance tine or disc?
Supposedly a claydon grain and fert meets the grant spec with the leading tine applying the fert.

Not so fast. I'm fairly confident that our type of no-till won't get a penny, just like our type of no insecticides.
Darn, my large investment, learning / and the benefits that has very clearly had to local biodiversity and wildlife should be paid for by those that benefit from it,
foiled again, and I was wondering if i can backdate payments,

No cultivation before the drill goes through. Strip till qualifies, according to a manufacturer who has been in regular communication with the RPA so that they can market accurately.

Without any details farmers twiddle their thumbs whilst it rains?? DEFRA are very close to releasing the 2024 SFI and CS rules but it needs to be signed off by Lord Spencer and not before the end of Easter holidays.. We can't let farmers planning their future business's in these poor economic times get in the way of a skiing holiday can we??

Wonder if it will pay each time you DD?
For example.

A cover crop (not claimable ahead of legume fallow in spring) planted after harvest.
Then DD legume fallow (or other spring crop )
So two lots of DD in one year.

They’d probably class that as double funding, unless the start dates right, but I have a feeling that could be curtailed if/when they work out how to 🤔

1 payment per parcel for the 3 year duration... £73 divided by 3... equals annual payment... devil in the detail... just you wait and see😉
