Loose dry ground won't make the short sharp boards work any better either. The theory is good but the boards are too short and the turn on them is too sharp for tidy shallow ploughing and effective weed control
Yes and looking at the pictures on their website in damper ground the furrows aren't turned and closed either.Loose dry ground won't make the short sharp boards worm any better either.
Fully agree with what said. We found the same with it. Final result wouldn’t make a purist happy but after a go with power harrow the finish was as good as on any ploughing. The best bit is you’re not burying all the humus miles down.I’d love to see the boards.
It’s looks to be doing the same as my ecomat.
You had to run quite fast to get the sod to turn; Leys had a heavy sod, so I had to slow down and at times the sod would turn wrong as in the video.
We found the ploughing looked rough, but once tilled it was no worse than, conventional ploughing, as scraws/trash also comes up with tilling.
I truly believe in the results, less wear, better soil, less stones; and believe it or not increased yields.
I'm not sure doing good work is easy at that depth.Nice scenery. Crap work.
That’s exactly why we bought it. Discs were leaving too much turf. After going over with a power harrow it left a brilliant bed to plant grass intoI'm not sure doing good work is easy at that depth.
I can only guess they are doing similar to using discs but with more turf being face down.
I agree it doesn't look good but I guess the end results are all that matters.
