Nividia still doing well amd Novo nordisk also been very good and still have loads of potential given their product
Novo are probably a safe bet, too safe perhaps? What are the ethics like surrounding the profit from the treatment of diabetes, which is a direct result of high carb governmental dietary guidance, which was likely suggested to them by the same pharma companies that will profit from the problem ♻️

I invest for profit not ethics - they are solving what is a massive problem that is going to destroy our NHS quite likely so I guess its ethical from that perspective

their drugs will save a lot of lives

I’ve no doubt they will, but looking at the big picture it grates with me, the current dietary recommendations are a prescription for diabetes

If the yellow section was swapped with the pink section (minus the pulses and legumes), novo nordisk would be kaput I reckon. Probably getting off topic now.

Interesting picture. I was diagnosed border line diabetes the other day.

Having dabbled in shares in the past I lost interest post covid, but over the last few months started dabbling again. Historically i have done well with Anglo American, good dividends at times as well.

Earlier this year I took a punt on EEE - Empire Metals and thats done extremely well last couple of months.

Solving the health care problem yes ............ Solving the reason for it? No !

Undoubtedly a massive and expensive problem though that is set peak about when i plan on retiring! hence the logic behind my investtment
Again, it’s not solving the healthcare problem. It’s putting money into the pockets of the drug companies. Those healthcare problems could be solved through diet alone, bypassing the profit opportunities to Novo etc. That money could be used elsewhere to better effect.

Cutting yourself and putting an expensive plaster on it is no solution. Don’t cut yourself in the first place.

I agree - but i’m investing to make money not change the world

this “solution“ will be bought by hundreds of millions so it will very likely make money

Solving? Not the word I’d use.
Treating the problem. It’s the future of healthcare. Cures are rather too unprofitable.

But in all honesty, there really won’t be many squeaky clean big businesses out there at all, it is obviously a highly competitive environment, but making big bucks from treating a disease that could and should be prevented by lifestyle choices (that would directly benefit small farmers) sticks in the throat. Give me big oil/mining/tobacco/insurance any day 😬😂
