Sheep dip advice

A contractor is coming round this week to dip sheep for the first time. I did the sheep dip safety course myself years ago but decided to fill in the old dated dip on farm and have never had any practical dipping experience whatsoever. I didn't organise the contractor as I'm pooling together with neighbours to get the numbers up.

So... I have questions.

Firstly, is it ok to dip my ewes in full wool having not been shorn since early June - even moreso my ewe lambs that have never been shorn?
Is it a big worry that I have dagged my ewe lambs this evening and nicked the odd bum this evening as a consequence? I see the general advice to avoid infection is to leave it a fortnight, so should I hold these lambs back?
Will I be ok shearing my ewe lambs in a month or so? I won't get time to do them before the dip
Are there any other do's and don't's, besides the obvious regarding handling and fumes.

Any advice will be gratefully received as ever.

Just piggybacking on this as also hoping to dip for the first time this year. Wanting to dip January/February indoor lambing ewes in early November, will that be enough time to make them safe to handle? How long do you try to leave between dipping and normal handling?

More than long enough, I think the general guidance is leave them a fortnight
