Can anyone give me a rough idea of the price of sheep keep per week, per ewe, on electric fenced ryegrass ley sown autumn 2019 already had 3 cuts of hay but still growing rapidly with the landowner supplying the electric fencing but not being responsible for the rounding up or welfare?

20p - £1 depending on competition in your area , plenty of dodgy shepherds / dealers about who dont remove dead ones , graze to long , keep getting out and not turning up for two days to get them back in , dont pay , p55 your neighbours off , buy all the scabby cheap sht in market .
Grazier is more important than price .!

£1 per week Swale hoggs with a small amount of Swale ewes. Start arriving soon and go by mid February or thereabouts, There is a big demand from the tougher hill farms for a month longer but for us £1 would not compensate for the slow early grass growth which results.
Local supply and demand will be most important.

around here for fenced but Not shepherded you're looking at 50p/week/sheep.
Hill men can usually out bid the lowlanders as plenty of them have payments made too them for wintering stock away from the hill. Easy too bid £0.75 when you are drawing £1 to not have them there!

Thanks for the replies, I have bought sheep in myself for the last few years but am now to old to chase them round so have decided to go back to letting the grazing off. I am looking for someone reliable who is going to, treat any ill ones, remove any dead ones, and pay me when they all go home on or before the 14th February.
I intend to start putting up the electric fencing tomorrow and would be prepared to look at them most days. I only have 14 acres of leys on a secure site so it would suit someone not to far away from WA3 and would probably graze about 50. I would prefer ewes to lambs as they are usually less flighty it is also important they have NO HORNS for electric fencing. As has been mentioned the price per week years ago was 65p per week. I'm not looking for any more than that now. I would prefer the right person to any extra money. If interested PM me.
