Sheep on slats

I have a redundant pig cv house that I'm thinking could be converted to sheep for Jan Feb period. Pros would be no mud n shite and ability to winter shear. Would slats with 90 mm beams and 20 mm gap be suitable for sheep. Saw an article of a bloke in Iceland who wintered sheep for 6 months on concrete slats.

Have a way of feeding bales figured out and building just needs some internal rejigging and roof work.

Thoughts?

Gap would be too big for sheeps feet and beams too thick to effectively push all the luck through in my opinion

Shouldn’t be a problem except bales would need to be well chopped , these sheep would have been in for 3 months and no need to clean them (old photo apr 17)

Would only be for about 8 weeks thinking couple of square feeders at each end of pen with mats round them to stop forage getting through slats?

Tups go out mid november. Would be housing beginning Jan so if I let them settle a week and then shear them say second week of Jan would that be long enough after tupping?

Wouldn’t know if that’s long enough, mine would be put with rams last week of October housed before Christmas and sheared end of January
