Sheep tags - quick delivery

I usually order from shearwell, but I've run short of a few tags and they are still quoting 10 days for dispatch. I want to get these lambs tagged and out as soon as possible.

Anyone offer fast delivery? Price is relatively unimportant as I don't need that many.

I find shearwell good tags but a complete ass of a company to deal with!

Roxan have a fast turn around. If its just a few I am sure they will get them out next day like replacements. Phone them up and ask.

The trouble is when you change tags you also need a different tagger which is a pain.

When I was told by Shearwell that there was a 2 week wait they gave me the option of paying £X for expedited delivery. This would mean I could be sure to get it on the 14th day rather than the 15th........

I unexpectedly ran out of sheep slaughter tags earlier in the spring....I rang Shearwell who I always get them off and they said it would take 7-10 days as they were very busy,
I said I was wanting to send some later in the week and could they not rush it on this once....they said if you pay an extra £6 you have them by the morning....why do I feel like I was shafted

If I want something urgently then I normally have to pay extra for next day delivery or subscribe to amazon prime when you have already paid for the service!
Surely if you put yourself out to get something done for someone else's convenience you would want paying a little more. I don't think £6.00 is being shafted for a service.

That was on top of the normal postage as well...I was meaning that why couldn’t they make them for 10 days due to being busy but then suddenly they could

But then they'll push someone else's order further back, to charge extra money. They always seem to have a backlog, can't they just work longer for a few weeks to clear it?

Denimex in Lenham would probably do you a quick run on the spot. Not too keen on the tags and next day replacement cattle tags don't half cost some but at least they're providing the service so no complaints.

Roxan are good if i order my tags on monday i will have them on Wednesday almost without fail. The longest ive waited is 5 days when covid first kicked off last year.

Why can't you put the lambs out without tagging?

I like to record them against their mothers. Also saves having to catch them upfor a while

I text my Roxan area rep and generally have tags the next day... never waited longer than 3 days... the type of tag I have aren’t great though the tagging pliers are stroke don’t get rubber tags lol
