How long after nitrogen has been spread should sheep be kept out of the field?
Well don't tell trading standards that when they visit, there has to be a withdrawal period but she didn't say how long, just to google it which hasn't come up with a great deal of informationnever taken them out before in my lifetime. I wonder if thats where i've been going wrong all these years. How many people can take them out put them elswhere in a week every field we have will have sheep in.

Hi, Its possible to get nitrogen toxicity be carefulHow long after nitrogen has been spread should sheep be kept out of the field?
I always find they wont commit to anything when it comes down to it they usually don't know too much the usual line is ask you agronomist or vet etcI've never seen mention of an official withdrawal period from fert, and have spread it in fields as long as the lambs are big enough to run from the tractor. Are you sure she wasn't just winging it. As she's raised the subject, I'd be inclined to ask her advice on a suitable withdrawal period, preferably in writing. I've always found that most inspectors like being asked for advice. Whether you take it or not is a different matter.
