we have bent our 3/4 bar
did it undoing some wagon wheel nuts that some idoit had had a bar on, we did not have a bar on our strong bar, its about 4ft so shouldn't need it!

made my knuckles really rattle when it "cracked" snap on man says they wont swap it as its not "broken"

just wondered if anyone else has had this?

they swap 1/2 inch bar ends no problem, they don't take that much doing.

never ever put a bar on!

Yes they will (even though technicaly they are not obliged to)

I've done something similar with a 3/4" Snap-on bar in the past and THIS is what you may the premium for ................ if your man won't I would tell him its the last thing you will buy from them as there are plenty equally as good tools these days much cheaper but without the no quibble warranty they built their premium brand upon

we don't buy much nowadays as we have a near complete tool set, its only when they fetch out silly fastenings, 1st it was torks then tamper torks then E's (female version) now Ms? basically you can use a 12 point socket 9/10 times.

cant complain with him been alright so far … will have another moan at him.

mentioned to him swapping a set of say 8-19mm spanners for ratchet spanners fancy the double flex ones?
he wants £150 to swap. looking on ebay etc I think ours are worth like £130 ish so we are at full list for the new ones. be cheaper to buy elsewhere …

We were swapping wheels on one of our 14ton silage trailers earlier this year with the same bar as you 2 of us on it were moving the trailer across the yard :inpain:

its not bent particularly bad, had It a good few years and have given it some hammer, cant understand why it didn't straighten this time.

bent it lifting to undo the when nuts but was maxed out strength wise.

I think this is normal. Just break it in half.

It must be a duff one cause I got the longest one they make and its 15 years old and had a 4ft but of pipe on it many times with me bouncing on it and dad pulling too!
The ratch wore out a few years ago and had to pay for a repair kit.

Hardly use it now though since getting Milwaukee 3/4 impact wrench!

In this litigious age the way to get something done is to claim that when their faulty and therefore unfit for purpose bar failed, during normal use which it was sold based upon, you tripped and suffered injury that will force you off work and reduce your ability to earn for years due to now being traumatically effected and mentally unable to use a bar any longer which has destroyed your ability to continue your trade necessitating need for retraining or retirement. Maybe throw in something about being a disabled, transsexual, black. muslim, vegan with learning difficulties while your at it

You will need details of their legal department for your no win no fee lawyer please................. or maybe just replace the frick'in bar !

We have used a 6’ scaffold pole on our (non snap-on) 3/4 bar in the past with 2 blokes bouncing on it, without issue.
- I think you need to change your user name to ‘Desperate Dannewhouse’ !

That was a credible argument until you put vegan. Then it just got silly

Just stick it over your knee and break it in half, ya big strong barsteward!!
:eek::eek::eek:

Says an awful lot about the sockets.

Due to see Pushy Pete this week, I think he would replace it, if it was mine.
Will see what he says.
