So you are producing a stat which shows that a country which didn't lock down did better that one which did? OK. Slow hand clap.
Perhaps, that is more about diagnosing and reporting! Some dark people; it looks, weirdly, like blacks in Africa are less susceptible than those here or in the US; Indians in India seem better off than those here too...
It could be, but it could also be an uncertain extrapolation...
Air quality as it is a respiratory issue? The cities seem to have been hit hardest. Some dark people; it looks, weirdly, like blacks in Africa are less susceptible than those here or in the US; Indians in India seem better off than those here too...

I'd not be so sure about that, I know doc's in SA and Kenya with, mainly, a black middle / upper class clientele, and they are of the opinion I've posted.Perhaps, that is more about diagnosing and reporting!
This advice was revised a couple of months ago, hence the reduction in Covid deaths
To ask the question again. How is the stat achieved? Did they use EXACTLY the same testing / cause of death structure? 500 versus 60 per million is really a minuscule difference. It's nothing. So it's really a nothing stat. Even if they used exactly the same reporting method, which I doubt they did. It's a nonsense stat. No, I'm showing that if you compare two countries that are similar population density, then the death rate is far lower in the one that locked down (Norway) than the one that didn't (Sweden) - and the one that didn't is almost as bad as a far higher population density country (The UK). The UK has little in common with Scandanavia and only an idiot would compare those two.
Thats a very Trumpian statement, have you looked at what you are saying? To ask the question again. How is the stat achieved? It's what I am asking. You can make stats up from anything. As we all know, 99% of stats are statistically incorrect. I can draw you up a chart to show you anything. If I'm saying anything it's that there is no point at all in putting up a chart which captures a moment in time based on differing base calculations and saying that's the truth. I have been in the markets for 30 years and I can show you a 1 day, 7 day, 30 day and 1 year chart for a stock which will all tell a different story of how you should trade it.Thats a very Trumpian statement, have you looked at what you are saying?
You didn't study diff calc then.Of course they didn't use exactly the same methodology, but the differences will be in the noise compared to the baseline figures. 500 vs 60 is an order of magnitude. That's not nothing. And it's actually 50 vs almost 600, so more than an order.
A true enough figure; but what we don't know is what - if any - underlying health conditions they had, nor their ethnicity.Covid 19 is shite I don't want to mess with.
Remember.
Over 540 odd frontline health care and social workers have been killed by it for looking after their clients.
You didn't study diff calc then.
Mostly over weight and of ethnic minority, probably.A true enough figure; but what we don't know is what - if any - underlying health conditions they had, nor their ethnicity.
Fair enough, you know your dy from your dx but that's my point. Output is variable for many reasons.Differential calculus? Did it for the first three years of my university engineering degree. What's your point?
