Shropshire land

Can anyone offer some places to keep checking in on for smaller fields for sale (6-9 acres)?

Already check onthemarket, ukfarmsandland, roger parry, barbers, newsnow. Seems like a lot of land is going to auction just now, is this always the case?

Morris Marshall and Poole have 11 acres advertised for sale near melverly, I don’t know the land but there’s a good chance it either floods or you won’t be able to get to it in a flood which might rule it out depending on what you want it for

Thanks very much. Yes I need well drained / not seasonally wet. We’ll be growing veg on it all year. 11 acres might be a bit beyond us, we’re hoping to find 6-8 acres assuming £10k per acre. We also need to be fussy which doesn’t help - well drained, not too high, as level as poss, within a few hundred meters to an electricity pole, a bit of road frontage and not overlooked. Wish us luck!

Guide price is 85k iirc but you’d need to check carefully about suitability, I suspect it wouldn’t be suitable for what you want.

From reading that I guess you are already, but join up with LWA they may be able to point you to an existing member you could hook up with.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
