Made a set 8ft×20ft a few years ago out of two inch box, cost thick end of £500, done properly for once.
Cheapest piece of kit I've ever made,
Trouble is they spend more time out, returning favours, that I don't even know who's got em at present.
They left with a full set of div dag bars, nobody ever knows how the seem to vanish into thin air.
If you've a fair bit to do, make your own set,
they'll always be handy to block a gap.....
temporary grain wall.........

quite dear i would say. it has been mentioned here to make then 6x16 but would be hard to move wnd handle at some jobs. i would be thinking more of the 8x4 or 8x6 size from 60x40mm box but would it be strong enough?

I started out with ply on mine and it didn't last 5minutes (n) welded 4 sheets of 5mm plate onto them.(y)

Mine are made of 3"X 1.5" auto scraper channel every 2',60x40mm would be OK.

Single layer,I reckon your better off full width as its tidier.

If your doing 150mm your going to want double mesh to make it stronger.

Thanks for that @eulb . It would be a retaining wall aswell, so I think that would be the best way, it works out less than a 140mm panel, excluding labour. (y)

Each to their own but I'd just buy the panels, unless you expect to do many other walls in future to justify making the forms.
Quality mix around here is £100/m before you even start.
6" panels at £38/m sq are pretty competitive I'd have thought, and remain movable or saleable.

I would usually, but it would have 2m of Earth behind the wall, so the panel will have to be built into the frame anyway, and I would be concerned with them flexing as they'll be loaded from the wrong side.

I think 140mm panels worked out at £180 including delivery 20' x 3', so 3m wall £540 per bay.

Readymix 5.4m £432 plus £60 for mesh, I know there's more labour and the shuttering, but it would be a 300mm thick wall.

Ply shuttering is fine as long as toy buy decent 18mm ply and 4x2. We tend to use wooden shutters for a lot of our work unless it is large cast walls
