Silage / Straw / Hay Price Tracker

Problem is, so will a lot of others. Oversupply, and price crash follows, and everyone gets out again, leaving us who stick it out year in year out to weather the financial drought again.

Yes of course which is why I shall persist with mixed farming.

We might be ok for a couple of years, sheep are not like pigs, all these ewe hoggs been sold will take a while to be replaced.

I still think Australlian drought & currently NZ drought are the main factor, once they are back in production the job will be poor.

Thought you"d be doing that anyway, seeing as arable farming is so hard. :cautious::cautious::D:hilarious:

Come and do a night shift harvesting sprouts next December or feel the stress of a wet cereal harvest or stacking 15,000 small bales when some scroat has stolen the flat eight sledge & grab..

Leaning on a gate watching ewes or a bit of worming/foot triming/dagging will seem more attractive to you.

I've worked with sheep for 40 years its just another job, like all ways of earning a living.

Can you get prosecuted for failing to give proper care to your sprouts?
