Simba free-flow direct drill

When we ran one the front leading tines very rarely broke any shear bolts so often thought of replacing the spring tine coulters with the rigid leading tine arrangement. At least if they did break they could only swing back.
Cracking drill though.

I always wondered how the packer goes when tacky as our old mf30 will stop itself on the stuff it pulls up if it’s not a drying day when drilling

There were a few floating about with rigid tines in the middle not the sprung tines that were then fitted with Horsch Duet coulters. I think this was the sort of lead up to Freeflow 2 but in the end Simba went with selling the Horsch drills themselves and dropped the freeflow completely before Horsch dropped Simba and as they say the rest is history sadly

Chain to attach the point to the frame in case the leg breaks and you need to call the local detectorists in to find the little lump of precious metal!

1m of 4mm chain out of various old overhead winches. Squeeze one end link in the vice to take an M8 bolt.
M8 x 50mm bolt to fasten it to seed pipe bracket
M6x 60mm bolt and nylock nut to fasten other end onto frame.
Is that a "helper" plate bolted with the tine?

The rear harrow is to vertical,
In the present conditions, we’ve dropped off the rear harrow on the co4, just let the Metcalfes do their job, keep the air up and fire the seed to the bottom of the slot, the tyres will firm the seed in.

Harrow tines have gone from 8" long to 16" on same adjustment. Wanted a play before teatime.

Tramliner doesn't seem to work. The ram is always out. Valve problem?
One tramliner spring seems to be broken. I have spares.
Shaft speed sensor and hopper level sensor not working. :(
It's just like having an old accord. ;)

Good job I'm just colouring in the field at an angle to the tramlines.

Not many have a tractor to pull it properly.
True. I was maulling in a headland that got rained on today with my 4m behind a 7530. All 4 wheels spinning 🙈 do I recall that conversion that Dale drills did was an 8m? Or a 6? Either way they were pulling it with a 6920. It was (or is?) on their website or YouTube.
