Simba miniflow

Would a miniflow with metcalf coulters be a good no-til drill to compliment a Weaving gd on clay soil. I’m just a bit worried being so wet and creating a slot that bakes and opens up in the spring. I’m guessing it would be a dry weather drill

Heavy drill but yes, may want to block up in large trash conditions tho.

Clearance between tines and rows will be an issue but if you widen the spacing between the rows by removing every other tine etc

I think you will have a problem with trash, a Freeflow would be a better bet

All straw baled so trash not usually a problem. And we have a disc drill already. Will the tines be strong enough. I like mounted drills and shed space is a bit of an issue with Big trailed drills. 4m rigid seem pretty cheap. Cheap enough for me to have about not doing a lot

I reckon a Horch CO would be a much better option, if you can squeeze it under cover somewhere.

I had a 3m miniflow.
It was a good drill.
It wouldn't go far with trash, at all.
I direct drilled rape with it, into baled wheat stubble. I had to remove half the tines to get it to work.
Altering spacing isn't easy as the mounts are welded in position.
It has inch coil straight pigtails, from memory 24 in 3m. I believe some were 20 to help ease trash flow.
