mind did 3.5t/ac without any extra effort, all other 2nds were under 3t
same inputs
Mine was all first wheat.
Skyfall was average 12/ha. 12.6-13 protein
Crusoe 10.5/ha. 13.5-14.1 protein

Pleased with both, but thankful of having more Skyfall than crusoe

Now just need to get lennox performing............

Ours is looking ok so far, turning very fast now. Was shooting clays at the weekend and the chap there was growing it and reckoned he had some that would go this week. Ours is still cheesy and tram lines still green'ish

Ours looks well as a second wheat this year, the month of 20+ deg though has really brought it on even on the snotty stuff so I think it will be fit early August

I've looked at Skyfall but never grown it. I'm too worried about sprouting as most of my wheat has to wait until I've cut a big area of spring barley. Zyatt is no better

We were told the same that we would be mental to grow skyfall beacuse of it's sprouting, never had any issues with it . had it in since it was p1 on the list so everything that gentleman tells us is no good we grow now.

It has done well for many growers. High quality, high yielding, early maturing, WOBM resistant & low input Gp1 that suits DD systems and many others (y)

Yep I like it. I was starting to go off it for no logical reason that I didn't like the look of it but I grow it as a feed and it generally keeps clean and enjoys DD. Kept way cleaner than a neighbouring field of Costello.

I'll grow again

Having just been through our wheat this afternoon, I reckon skyfall is going to outdo the zyatt in terms of yield, i think the drout conditions have effected the zyatt more than the skyfall.

I don’t like skyfall
Miles off feed and gp2 yield far more than AHDB list suggested ime

However I can see it performing relatively well against big biomass big eared Feed wheats where specific weight will
Be poor too many grain sites to fill from moisture deficit

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
