I've two 3.5t lift loadalls and a 22t 360,I think I could boss them,I hate involving 3rd parties it just winds me up,I'll email Solway tomorrow for some prices.

I get what youre saying about 3rd parties, we need the crane to get them off the lorry and then again to drop them in the hole as you struggle to get them delivered when you want, we're pretty lucky with the crane though its here a fair bit anyway

Thats the one, at one point a few years ago we had the big crane, one of the smaller ones, the manitou, 2 boom lifts and a scissor lift from them.
After using the crane for putting slats on its the way forward, they can drop them straight down not like a forklift that goes away from you as you go down or twists about if you use the steering

Aye I had the big Manitou as well, need a fair set of balls to stand in that man box on full reach mind !! not for me that!! we used the crane for putting the panels in for shed walls was much easier and quicker than a forklift. The skid steer driver was shitting himself as he thought he was going to have to sit in it as it went over the wall :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That would have been worth seeing the drivers face, we done a job with the man box on the manitou, got halfway through and my sidekick baled out reckoned he wasnt going any higher

Oh it was funny, he didn't relise I had put a ladder on the inside for him :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: there is no way I would go to full height in that Manitou !!! it didn't help it was here for a month and broke down every other day.

Ive been pretty much right up in it, might get them to lift me up for a pic when we get this next shed finished

@eulb just dig out the channel, concreate the floor , shutter the sides n drop the slats on, simple, or if you dont want to shutter build 9inch blocks, thats the kind of thing i grew up with
moore concreate would be a good place to try for slats

That's what I would normally do,built some channels on the other end of the building a couple of years ago,we did them out of blocks.
I'm looking for an easier way as I'm a little short staffed at the minute.

assume shuttering would be quicker, but still a fair bit of time, be a fair few loads for that job

I have my own 16'x8' shutters but it seems to take an age to set the up and move them.

I can get 6m x 1.5m concrete panels from jp concrete,I remember red bull from BFF building a slurry channel using panels and thought it would be a fairly quick way.

Have you got any prices yet anybody? I have 60 metres to do!

I've emailed Solway for some prices but they haven't replied yet.

Could you not dig out the walls and fill with concrete before it caves in then when its set dig middle out,or is it to sandy
i that would work faster also

If it was in clay I would do it that way,2' of clay then about 3'of sand then metres of quicksand/cow belly.(n)

Think I may build it out of 6m X 1.5m X 150mm panels,I've not got any quotes back yet.
