Slurry storage

Currently got a tower that's nearing the end of its life here, can't really see myself wanting to use it next winter. So looking at options for storage.
What is a rough cost for a 400'000-500'000 gallon tower? I wouldn't need a reception pit done as ours is big enough. Just the cost of tower.
Also considering a lagoon, however, I'm not a huge fan of them.

Permastore 500,000 installed for about £50-55k without the concrete and about 100 cu m needed if I remember. 50 cu m Reception pit £5-6k

PS
Suppied by Linton and robinson environmental good company to deal with and not taking as big a margin as other companies I quoted!!!
Lagoon could be done for under £30k

One thing to consider if putting a new tower up, it is proposed/likely that in the not too distant future slurry storage will have to be covered and as I understand it, standard stores aren’t strong enough to carry a cover without additional bracing.

That's what I was thinking wat size wud it have to be to hold 500.000 gallon

its 23m diameter and 4 rings tall if that’s what you’re asking?

Would you build a concrete tank with slatts on it for that price?

Possibly I never looked into it as it doesn’t suit the site and it’s going to be to roof in the next decade for ammonia regs so there’s little point in building something that’s a huge span, it would of needed to be a long skinny concrete tank which would we enormous to get to 500k surly?

mine is roof ready at that price I should of mentioned, just too tight to pay £35k for a roof when half the farms in the country do not have a store.

Never seen one of these before but they look interesting, look much safer than a slurry bag. I'd still be worried about some scumbag slashing it, it would keep you awake at night thinking about it😵 wonder what they cost?

Not sure I'd be overly confident with that, it doesn't look that sturdy. However it looks like the company has a 5-10 year warranty on them.
The issue you mentioned about someone slashing it would be a concern too, suppose you could always security fence the area.
Saying all that, unless there's a substancial cost saving between the 'mesh silo' over the lagoon, i think I'd rather go with the latter.

The EA approve them for digestate. Much stronger than you would think. They usually have a floating cover, as in the pic. My costs are out of date, so limited value.
I only supply roof-ready stores now, due to the impending legislation. I fear that those who have tried to economise by buying second hand will end up paying a higher price in the end.

Last time I asked about these, they were around £30k for 1200 cube. What I do like about them is that if you had to pack up, the site could be restored to its original state easily, which something with a concrete base could not.
