Slurry taint

Had some one ring tonight ,asking if pig slurry would taint .or make hay un palatable ,
they had some from a chap who has lots of pigs and slurries his grasses ,
hay is quite dry ,well made ,but not much smell with it
it does not smell of slurry ,
just wondered if it would taint grass , and horses can taste or smell what human cannot ,
he has 9 profit wasters , so not just one fussy horse ,😬
took him a bale of roughish marsh hay that had warmed a little ,tobbaco smell they went for that , 🤔🤔🤔

If you had a choice of lovely sweet fresh grass even if very short the grass will only get sweeter or some dry forage that was thrown together last year and would have some amount of musky ness to it from being stored for 9-10 months which would you prefer?
Fresh grass or stale grassbasically 🤷🏻‍♂️
