Any good small baler mechanics about.
Used to be a fantastic chap that worked for local JD dealer, but he's long retired.
There's a chap from up country (Andrew Walley) who travels round the country, but seems snowed under.

Ah, small baler magicians, where did they all go? Back in the 80's I was having trouble with a baler that would not tie about 1 in 6 bales. Local chap (Geoff Fry from South Molton) came out to have a look. Walked from his van to the baler with a hammer in his hand, gave one of the knotters a tap with the hammer and started walking back to his van. "Aren't you going to wait and see if it will work now" I said. "Nah it will be ok" and it was!

The local chap Phil, was less chatty than that, but an incredibly nice and knowledgeable chap.
He would explain in great detail, but loose me on the '3rd roundabout'

It doesn’t matter if it’s, a big or small baler the principals are just the same , just more of them.

Brand doesn’t realy matter either still just the same knot

I haven’t had on yet I can’t mend and like a message above it’s £5.00 for the hammer & £50,00 for knowing how to use it.

I quite often ask which end of the string has a knot in it, usually in amazement they look at you and shrug their shoulders.

It gives quite a lot of information if you know what your doing.

Most people tighten thing up when there playing up, quite often they want slacking off.

Cant mend a knotter with a lap top.

I need a new/second hand knotter wheel fitted, to the 456a and a general go through.
With no warning, the right knotter stopped tieing.
After 2 people fiddle with it and no better, I discovered a fracture round the boss.
459 needs plunger/chamber going through and general look over

I think my big baler could do some tightening up in some places and slackening in others
