You should be able to plastic weld it, better if you can get to the inside as well.
But you need to know what sort of plastic it is and get some filler rods - off ebay.

Fix one on an old CleanAcres sprayer front tank with a soldering iron, just melted the surface and smeared it across the crack. A lot will depend on what plastic it is.

Had a Tecnoma crack after an accident some years ago, and found a local company to weld it properly. Superb job .

I have used the same outfit several times since for welding "critical" plastic parts. Few quid well spent!

I have used a product called Seal All which is bloody amazing for small plastic repairs. Expensive, but always got s tube in the cupboard nowadays. Will even seal petrol and diesel tanks!

I got a 2fl oz tube for the same price as Amazon's 1 floz but cannot find the link now.

I "mended" a polyprop motorcycle tank as a get me home repair, using a soldering iron, and a cable tie as the "rod"! It got me home from near Andorra, but started weeping soon after, and has now been welded properly... See above :)

It's trial and error. My tank was LDPE. Found out by welding different rods to the lid and see which ones pulled off.

cleanliness is key because plastic has an oxidised surface that won't stick...... Cut a vee with dremel.....much the same as metal welding really

Our Bateman sprang a leak and i used fiberglass patches with epoxy resin then smeared over it with isopon p38 waited for it to dry and then sanded it down. This was on the outside of the tank, i couldn't fit through the hatch! I know that epoxy resin doesn't work on certain plastics but cant remember which ones.
