I can see a bigger hole appearing .It's trial and error. My tank was LDPE. Found out by welding different rods to the lid and see which ones pulled off.
cleanliness is key because plastic has an oxidised surface that won't stick...... Cut a vee with dremel.....much the same as metal welding really
