Smaller ATVs

We have always run ES Honda 250s. Changed roughly every 3 years. Just coming to change but they have stopped making them so looking for something in its place.
Next smallest dealer has to offer is a 350 Yamaha but limited stock as they're stopping making them too.
Wondering what else is out there anyone would recommend? Dont have the need of a big bike and always found them heavy on fuel in comparison to the 250 when had a courtesy bike from dealers.

It’s because they have to meet new emissions regs by the autumn and they are struggling to meet them with the smaller ones, I think the 50, 90, 250 and 400 will be ending

Yamaha do any 250s still? Had one third hand years ago, tough little thing, light on fuel but succumbed to rust eventually, front suspension went.

350 smallest apparently but ceasing production. Tempted to just keep this 250 now but doing 700-800 hours a year and tend to find the bills start after 3 years.

Why they all stopping making the smaller bikes? thought they would be fairly popular on lowland farms.

I would have thought there would be a decent demand in the UK for a simple, small, runaround bike too, but the UK market is tiny in the grand scale of things.
A lot of farmers will also be asking ever more of their ATV, so always seeking a bit more capacity. Personally, my quad can be the only machine that moves here for weeks on end in the winter, so it has become th3 number one machine that just has to work, and be capable when asked (it’s been in the dealer’s workshop for 4 days currently?).

I have a trailer to cart round haylage bales out now, which needs a decent sized bike to boss it, but replacing tractor/telehandler usage. I won’t be alone in that, and it all increases the market demand for bigger quads, whilst reducing UK sales of smaller models.

Bought new 250 honda in march as told stopping making them . Should last for years if looked after!
To be fair dealership did phone in march to ask if we were thinking of changing for that reason. Between being busy calving, some miscommunication and salesman being off (guessing furloughed) due to c19 we've missed the boat.

Agreed there is the odd time I've thought a bit extra would be handy but it would account for less than 5% of what the bike does.

So it looks like all small bikes are gone, what's good out there in a larger bike?

It's the US recreational market that drives the demand. Tougher emissions and safety rules mean they are stopping. Thus a few farmers in UK won't have much choice

I always wanted a 250 but my local dealer eventually persuaded me to take a 420. There's one local fast single carriage way road where I'm glad I have more presence on the road. It does stop a few idiotic overtakes I'm sure
