Will be The likes of a Nodet with the small seeds unit,

Done loads like that. We still have a 'vintage' DP12 :woot: .
IMHO, there's never been a more accurate spreader.

The metering drives off the pto. A small hydraulic ram works a clutch to disconnect the drive for turning on headlands.

No problem - you can put Avadex granules on to within an eggcupful an acre
avdex is a bit bigger tho, lucerne seed i teeny tiny...
.... but the hydraulic drive doesn't follow ground speed to be so accurate, like up and down hill, ?

It's not hydraulic drive - it's mechanical (there's dozens of gear permutations).
Whatever you calibrate it at is for a given forward speed. To be accurate, you have to keep a constant speed.
For small seeds there's a pair of micro granular rollers (one for each boom). The standard rollers do fert and cereals etc.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
