Was in a dealers stores area today they had a sip fireball for heating. Diesel fired and thermostatically controlled was quite impressive really fairly small for the area it was heating and no hint of smoke or fumes. Things must have moved on since our old space heater days smokey and noisy nipped your eyes after a few minutes. Have a propane fired one now but never used it in an enclosed space been told they are really bad for condensation.

They run very clean if on low odour Kero

Ring Dennis Wilson's in Glenavy, they will point you in the right direction.

I have either a sip or clarke thermostat controlled space heater and runs fine on red. Just dont let it go low or run out.

Years ago ignitors and fans used to give bother, i dont think its much of a problem anymore.

my son's work have the sun type heaters. they are run on the contaminated fuel from misfueling drain offs. that would be an unknown ratio of diesl/petrol. they seem to work ok but are pissing against the wind as the roof is uninsulated and the doors are open as often as they are closed. the filter/jet has to be cleaned sometimes which is not surprising considering the source of the fuel.

Used to work for a dealer that sold the infared type ones, were ok in a small space or when stood close , the best one we had was an old jet style one but it was noisy as hell, lots of decent options out there though, also depends on the size of space you want to heat

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
